Helping out a local rowing club
After a successful crowdfunding campaign that resulted in the purchase of a new quad for the Marina Kaštela Rowing Club, the collaboration between Marina Kaštela and Coral Motor Yachts d.o.o. has resulted in a donation of a Concept 2 ski ergometer and two spinning bikes.
The club’s president, Petar Novak, said, “I would like to thank our friends and partners at Coral Motor Yachts d.o.o., Tomasz Antoni Wróbel and Davor Raguz, for recognizing rowing as a sport that invests in young generations in every sense of the word. Additionally, this collaboration would not be possible without our general sponsor, led by Josip Berket. I would like to thank everyone involved in this story for what they do for the youth of Kaštela and the new generations of rowers that are coming to us. This new equipment will certainly improve our athletes’ training and results.”
This year, the people of Kaštela will host the fifth regatta of the Dalmatia Cup, which will include two memorial races: the junior double scull without coxswain, featuring Ivan Jerčić, and the junior single scull, featuring Toni Čavka Bebi. The regatta will take place on May 20th of this year, starting at 9 am. The regatta will be enriched by a ceremony blessing the new quad, named after the Croatian poet Josip Pupačić. The club invites all rowing enthusiasts to join them at Polantana.
